I'm not a concert photographer but wanted to put something here to get things going. These arent great, but it's two different takes of one of my two favorite drummers. Artimus Pyle setting up the house kit. He was the drummer for Lynyrd Skynyrd.

no tips - i like the 2nd one.

band photography is something i would LOVE to get into!!! but im terrified of taking my camera to see the bands i like to see LOL. if i could get a press pass and be in the safe zone at the front of the stage i would consider it - but not til then.

I know what you mean. The above picture was taken while Artimus was setting up. I have photos of the band during the concert but we were off to the side away from the crowd up front. So my camera was safe. ;)
